Supported cameras
Not a generic tool: each camera brand gets its own support, built one by one. Fujifilm and Ricoh GR cameras get recipes end to end, Sony recipes are in progress, and photos from any camera show full shooting info.

Fujifilm
Jepex reads the full recipe from any Fujifilm photo, down to the white balance shift, and detects the camera’s X-Trans sensor generation, which decides the film simulations and settings a recipe can use. Recipes list the sensor they need, and Jepex marks the ones your camera can render.
| Sensor | Cameras |
|---|---|
| X-Trans V | X100VI, X-H2, X-H2S, X-M5, X-S20, X-T5, X-T50 |
| X-Trans IV | X100V, X-E4, X-Pro3, X-S10, X-T3, X-T4, X-T30, X-T30 II |

| X-Trans II | X-E2, X-E2S, X-T1 |
| X-Trans I | X-E1, X-Pro1 |
Ricoh GR
Image Control recipes, the same depth: Jepex reads the Image Control and its settings from any GR photo, matches it to known recipes, and lets you create and share your own.

| GR IV | GR IV |
| GR III | GR III, GR IIIx, GR III HDF, GR IIIx HDF |
Questions
What cameras are supported?
Fully supported today: Fujifilm X (X-Trans I through V) and Ricoh GR III/IIIx/IV, with full MakerNote and Image Control parsing. Sony Alpha (Creative Look) recipes are in progress. Nikon and Canon photos show their shooting info in the Info panel today, and photos from any camera show full shooting info.
Does Jepex work with Sony, Nikon, or Canon?
Yes, for shooting info: Nikon and Canon photos show theirs in the Info panel today, and photos from any camera show full shooting info and keep every setting through the save. Sony Creative Look recipes are in progress.
Which RAW files does Jepex open?
Jepex recognizes RAW files from most cameras (ARW, NEF, CR2, CR3, RAF, DNG, ORF, RW2, PEF, SRW) and shows a RAW and JPEG pair as one photo. On the Mac, the editor develops DNG, uncompressed RAF, and the RAW formats macOS itself opens; a compressed RAF shows its as-shot preview, its shooting info, and the recipe behind it.
Will a recipe work on my camera?
Each recipe lists the sensor it needs, because newer film simulations and settings exist only on newer sensors. Jepex reads your camera’s sensor generation from its photos and marks the recipes it can render; on the web, the camera filter shows only those.
